Helping Multilingual Learners Show What They Know Through Writing
Educators will leave with ready-to-use strategies, templates, and instructional routines that help multilingual learners confidently communicate their thinking through writing.
In this session, educators will learn how to:
Use sentence frames and language supports to strengthen student writing
Design writing tasks that support both language development and content learning
Support MLs in explaining reasoning through writing
Maintain rigorous expectations while providing appropriate scaffolds
